Emily is a neurodivergent counsellor practicing on Lekwungen territory (Victoria BC), who specializes in working with youth and adults who are experiencing grief and loss, identity shifts, life transitions, burnout, anxiety, and relationship challenges. Emily practices from a client-led, feminist lens that centres you as the expert in your life. Their practice aims to provide a supportive space where you feel heard and safe to explore how your experiences have shaped you and how you may want to invite change, healing, and self-compassion.
Â
Emily’s work is primarily informed by narrative therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, which essentially means that they are a huge nerd about how we live into our values, and about how we tell the story of ourselves. Emily comes from a facilitation background working with youth using activism and the arts to empower young people, help them find their voices, and to form a life-long alliance with themselves. In this work she was privileged to hear many stories of resilience and heartache from youth and staff alike, which solidified their intention to become a counsellor to better hold these stories.Â
