Courtney is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is passionate about working with Autistic and ADHD folks. This interest was the natural evolution of specializing in working with people struggling with disordered eating and eating disorders—a mental health and physical challenge that disproportionately impacts Neurodivergent people.

Having recovered from an eating disorder herself, and in exploring the likelihood of her own Neurodivergence, Courtney brings her personal lived experience to her work. It’s this knowledge, along with specialized training in Autism and ADHD, that allows her to empathize, connect with, and attune with clients on a deep level.

In the field of eating disorders, Courtney has worked on multidisciplinary teams with youth, adults and families in community-based eating disorder programs and in private practice. Courtney strives to help people with eating challenges cultivate a safe and nourishing relationship with themselves, food, and with their bodies so that they can live fulfilling and authentic lives. She takes a responsive approach to feeding and is informed by a Health at Every Size (HAES) framework.

As the mother of a young child, Courtney is also passionate about perinatal mental health and loves working with folks who are pregnant, postpartum, or in the process of starting a family.

Courtney takes an anti-oppressive, client-centered, trauma-informed approach, using a blend of therapeutic modalities to fit the needs of each individual client. Somatic/body-based therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work/, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are a few of the approaches she uses most often. Most importantly, she strives to build a strong, authentic alliance with clients so that they feel seen and supported while exploring the range of their experience and working together towards their therapeutic goals.
